Carol Kelley creates images of nature, people, animals, and still life, the subjects that surround and compel her. Carol depicts her subjects in a realistic, detailed manner, yet with the painterly brushstrokes she has developed over the years. She strives to share the feelings that inspire her, such as the thrill of seeing horses prancing together across a field, a burro patiently waiting for his master, or the beauty of objects arranged for a dramatic still life. With energy and heart, Carol paints the images that move her artistic spirit, trusting the viewer will see her emotions and respond to them in a personal way. Born in Michigan, Carol Kelley began oil painting with her artist parents at age 8, and as an adult, shared a studio with her father for several years.
Carol has traveled around the world, living for a time in Asia, where she painted portraits and wildlife. During her travels, Carol was influenced by the masters’ paintings in Europe as well as the United States. In Florida, she appeared on Channel 13 and PBS Channel 3 on several occasions. Her paintings were also featured in Florida Wildlife magazine as well as in several central Florida newspapers.
