Jonna comes from a family of artists and has always been immersed in the arts, just like her relatives.
She studied at the California College of Arts in Berkeley, CA, and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Art and Theater in New Mexico.
Jonna built her career as a Graphic Illustrator and Landscape Designer. She taught drawing and landscape design at Oklahoma State University, where she received the Swede Emborg Endowment, the Horticulture Technology Award, and was listed in Who’s Who in American Colleges & Universities. Her commissioned works include projects for the Oklahoma Governor’s Mansion, various public parks and spaces, architectural and landscape renderings, logos, and numerous private collections.
Her award-winning art showcases a strong sense of design, vibrant colors, graphic elements, and complex patterns. Jonna’s intricate style is creative, imaginative, and original. Painting allows her to express her passion for color, detail, creativity, and a sense of humor and whimsy. She hopes her work brings you the same joy and fun that she feels while creating them!
