Judy Morgan is an artist from Durango, CO who is inspired by the natural beauty of the landscape & truly appreciates being able to record her impressions directly from nature & the unique scenes. Judy first painted in watercolor when she was in Newport, RI, concentrating on boats & the ocean. She appeared on Good Morning America, Sept 1990 in conjunction with my paintings of the single handed around the world sailboat race (BOC).

Judy then moved West where she found life on the Colorado Plateau quite exciting. She hiked & skied in the mountains, explored the deserts, & kayaked the rivers, always with her paints along. Judy later began painting in oil. Judy has also taught classes & workshops in both Durango, CO & San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico. Her award-winning painting, “Sunset on the Animas” served as a backdrop for the Narrow Gage Train video. Judy Morgan is a member of The 4 Corners Plein Air Painters & Plein Air Painters of New Mexico.
